Thais Hvid
I started with Capoeira at an early age and found parkour in my late teens. I have been practicing and teaching both for about a decade. So I enjoy being upside down and outside on the concrete, as much as I enjoy standing on my feet and working in a dance studio.
I attended Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School and then Amsterdam School of the Arts. I completed an apprenticeship at Cullberg Ballet, where I was pointing my feet and shaking my organs.
I have since worked with Guy Nader and Maria Campos - lifting other people and flipping myself, Gerd Kaisa Vorren - finally getting to mix parkour and dance, Kari Hoaas - Krumping in slow motion and bathing in tinfoil, and Edhem Jesenković - being inspired by amazing people and dancers.
I am always working on developing my own physical practice as well as a myriad of other projects, including: teaching, reading, writing, choreographing and playing video games.
