Pia Elton Hammer
Pia Elton Hammer graduated with a dance major from Fagerborg upper secondary school. She went on to work as an apprentice for Cannes Jeune Ballet International Rosella Hightower. Between 1995 and 2000 she worked as a freelance dancer, with companies and choreographers such as Dans Design, Oslo Danse Ensemble, Sølvi Edvardsen, Hooman Sharifi, Eva-Cecilie Richardsen, Stellaris Dansteater, Lise Nordal and Un-Magritt Nordseth among others.
From 2001 she was employed by Carte Blanche, where she worked with choreographers like Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, Amanda Miller, Antony Rizzi, Ingun Bjørnsgaard, Alan Lucien Øyen, Jo Strømgren and Ina Christel Johannessen. Since 2008 Pia has been working with Zero Visibility Corp., where she has toured in Norway and abroad with the following productions: The Rite of Spring, Frozen Songs, Phersephone, Future, The Guest, Piano Piano, Again, Now She Knows, Thief, It was November, The Thief, 38.8.
Pia is currently teaching at Proda, the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO) and the Norwegian Dance College.
