Iannes Bruylant

Iannes Bruylant was born in Ghent, Belgium. Until the age of 21 he combined a high-level gymnastics career (Top 5 Belgium) with a bachelor’s degree in Medicine (Ghent University, BE). Upon completion he joined the Bachelor Dancer/Maker program at Artez, School of the Arts (NL).
As a dancer he has worked and performed with e.g. Cie Agostina D’Allesandro and Scapino Ballet Rotterdam (NL) under the direction of Ed Wubbe. He has performed works by Agostina D’Allessandro, Maciej Kuszminski, Nicole Caruana, Hendrik Aerts and Carolyn Carlson among others. As a maker his work has been presented at H80 festival, Smovetalk Festival, Barnes Crossing, Deventer Schouwburg, Theater Rotterdam and MIR for Scapino Ballet.
Iannes was part of NSP2 (2020-2021).
Iannes Bruylant er for tiden ansatt i NSP gjennom Viken fylkeskommunes stimuleringsordning for unge talenter i Viken.
