Elliot Norell Strinnö

Elliot Norell Strinnö found his interest for dance in high school taking hip hop and commercial classes in the evenings before he started studying dance at the Lunda Dans och Musikal gymnasium. He then moved to Salzburg where he did the four year contemporary dance programme at SEAD - Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, from which he graduated in July 2022. At his time at SEAD he got the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Manuel Ronda, Tom Weksler, Paul Blackman, Milla Koistinen, Oded Graf, Kristina Alleyne and many more.

Elliot’s inspiration and way of working comes from a place of humor and a will to use simplicity building expectations that he later breaks. Unexpected movements and witty humor are the focus points of his creative work. These interests, which he shares with his classmates from SEAD, lead them to creating the company Useless Machines, um.dtc, and with their piece Stay Hydrated they performed at Platform 14 in Berlin (2022) and ZUKUNFT TANZT (2022) in Frankfurt.

Elliot was part of NSP 2 for the season 2022-23.
