Daniel Proietto

Daniel Proietto was born in Argentina, where he studied classical ballet with the school of Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. He came to Norway in 2003 to work with Carte Blanche. Since 2007 he has worked internationally as a freelance dancer and choreographer and has toured extensively to venues such as New York City Center, BAM, National Theatre of Chaillot, Bunkamura, London Coliseum and Sadler’s Wells. Proietto has created and staged works for choreographers such as Russell Maliphant, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and director and choreographer Alan Lucien Øyen. As choreographer Proietto has created several works for the Norwegian National Ballet, as well as for the Vienna State Ballet and the Cuban National Ballet, among others. Proietto has won an array of international accolades and prizes for his work both as a dancer and choreographer.
